Biography
Trained in the theatre, Yannick Renier makes his first big screen appearance in 2001 in the short A Portrait. In 2006, he achieves fame with his participation in the Belgian TV series Seventh Sky and a highly remarked performance in Private Property, directed by Joachim Lafosse, an intense drama behind closed doors presented at the Mostra of Venice. French author cinema isn't long in becoming infatuated with this handsome dark-haired, somewhat gloomy young man. He performs for Christophe Honoré, Laetitia Masson, Ducastel-Martineau, and finds himself at the heart of the road-movie Going South, directed by Sebastien Lifshitz. In 2010, he co-stars with Laura Smet in Pauline and François, directed by Renaud Fely.
