Now in its 16th year, the 2016 German French Film Week will take place from November 30 through December 7, hosted by the Institut Français and Unifrance. This key event held in the German capital offers a rich program of events, with an impressive guest list this year.
For this 16th edition of the Berlin French Film Week, 14 French films will be presented to audiences in preview screenings held prior to the films' commercial release in Germany, in the presence of a large number of French actors and directors. This event once again provides an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the richness and diversity of current French cinema, which is highly-appreciated by German audiences.
Around twenty French and French-speaking artists will be in attendance this year to accompany their films and meet with audiences.
The French Film Week will open with a screening of The Odyssey by Jérôme Salle held on November 30 at the Kino International Cinema, in the presence of the director and the actor Lambert Wilson. One week later, The Unknown Girl by Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne will close the event, with the screening held this time at the Cinema Paris.
