Synopsis

An army of bear cubs is training and indoctrinating young recruits for the war against the unicorns, which threatens the safety of the cubs. Brothers Bluet and Tubby, along with a group of inexperienced recruits, are sent on a dangerous mission to save the Magic Forest, where the unicorns live, and start a terrible battle.

"Unicorn Wars" is an animation film directed by Alberto Vázquez, selected in the official competition of Annecy festival.

Cubs and unicorns have been at war since time immemorial. Soldier Célestin covets the blood of unicorns, because as predicted in the Sacred Book of the cubs, drinking it makes you eternally beautiful. His brother Bouboule, his, is not made for war. He is insecure, obsessed with food and only seeks to be loved by brother and regimental comrades. Unprepared unit of cubs leaves training camp for a mission in the Magic Forest, which will eventually trigger the terrible final battle.

Depuis la nuit des temps, nounours et licornes se livrent une guerre sans merci. Le soldat Célestin n’a qu’une chose en tête : faire couler le sang des licornes. Il offrirait, d’après le Livre Sacré, la beauté éternelle. Son frère Bouboule, lui, ne pense qu’à manger et se faire des amis. Vient le jour où leur unité quitte le camp d’entraînement pour une mission dans la Forêt Magique, vers la terrible bataille finale…
