Cartoon Movie, the largest pitching and co-production forum for animated feature films in Europe, returns to Bordeaux in March! This year again, France is the main country initiating projects.
30 French projects (or co-productions) will be presented to French and international professionals during the 2023 edition which will take place between March 8 and 10.
There is also a large French contingent among the nominees for the Cartoon Tributes, awards attributed by votes cast by participants during the event: Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre are competing for the Director of the Year Cartoon Tribute and KMBO is in the running for the Distributor/Sales Agent of the Year Tribute. French producers are are also in the mix for the Producer of the Year Tribute: Les Films du Tambour de Soie, Vivement Lundi !, and Foliascope have been nominated for their work on No Dogs or Italians Allowed with their foreign co-producers; Autour de Minuit and Schmuby/Borderline Films have been nominated for Unicorn Wars with their Spanish co-producers
Last but not least, six French co-productions are in the running for the Eurimages Co-production Development Award (out of nine nominees in total).
