Biography
Pio Marmai begins his career on stage as both actor and director. After a brief stint on television, he launches himself into the cinema. In 2008, he is nominated for the Césars as Best Male Hopeful for his role as the rebellious older brother in The First Day of the Rest of Your Life, directed by Rémi Bezançon. Since 2011, Pio Marmai seems to privilege the dramatic genre with notably the role of the kidnapper, co-starring Kristin Scott Thomas, in In Your Hands. A choice which suits him to a tee as he is once again nominated to the Césars as Best Male Hopeful for his performance in Living on Love Alone, directed by Isabelle Czajka.
