Organized for the 10th consecutive year, its aim was to bring the most recent films to the attention of foreign buyers who could be interested in acquiring these titles.
25 films, chosen in collaboration with the members of the Short Film Commission and in agreement with distributors, will be shown on March 30 to the 2012 jury comprised of:
1. Guadalupe Arensburg – Canal + – Spain
2. Urszula Skassa – Canal + – Poland
3. João Garção-Borges – RTP2 – Portugal
4. Gilles Reunis – Be TV – Belgium
The Grand Jury Prize will be made a reality by the acquistion of the winning film by the four television channels. Moreover, they could each individually buy other titles (Special Jury Prize) .
The Grand Jury Prize winner will be officially invited to the following foreign film festivals:
1. Festival du film francophone en Acadie de Moncton – Canada
2. Tübingen-Stuttgart French-language Film Festival – Germany
3. Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival – Brazill

All the news about the uniFrance Films Short Film Award 2011
In 2011, Catharsis, directed by Cédric Prévost and produced by Charles Paviot (Arts Premiers), carried off the uniFrance Films Short Film Award Grand Jury Prize.
It recently won the University of Miami Grand Jury Award for Best Short Film at the Miami International Film Festival (MIFF).
Already awarded the France Télévisions Award for Best Short French-language Film in Brest, and the Grand Prix Palm Secateur d'Or at the International Kansk Video Festival (Russia), Catharsis - featuring Alexandre Steiger and Emeline Bayart - has stacked up 16 prestigious awards to date, and has been selected to participate in 60 festivals. It continues its career throughout the world and will soon be distributed in Bermuda, the United States, the Ukraine and Switzerland.
Catharsis has been sold in four territories: Australia, Italy, Portugal, and Russia.
