Event presentation
Since its creation in 1984, the International Francophone Film Festival Tübingen | Stuttgart has become the must-see event dedicated to French speaking cinema in Germany. Every year, the festival offers the latest French productions to a very enthusiastic audience, which also gives a particularly warm welcome to the new generation of French filmmakers. With its annual "Focus Africa", the festival is also considered an important forum for contemporary African cinema. Since 2025, the "Young Audiences" section has offered a varied programme of films and workshops for children and teenagers, in addition to screenings for school classes, establishing itself as a festival for all generations.
Grand Prix of the Tübingen International Francophone Film Festival | Stuttgart for the best film in the "International Competition", worth €5,000. Half of this prize is awarded to the director and half to the producer of the film, selected by the International Jury.
Audience Award for Best French-Language Feature Film in the Official Selection, worth €3,000. The award is presented to the director.
Audience Award for Best French-Language Short Film in the Official Selection, worth €2,000. The award is presented to the director.
The Franco-German Youth Jury Prize in Tübingen, worth €1,000, rewards a selection of films chosen from all films in all sections. The prize is awarded to the director.
The Stuttgart Youth Jury Award, worth €1,000, rewards a selection of films chosen from all films in all sections. The award is presented to the director.
