This year’s French-Language Film Days (November 1-8) closed on Wednesday evening, with the 2006 award winners announced.
“La Tourneuse de Pages" ("The Page Turner") by Denis Dercourt (distributed by Alamode) picked up the Distribution Aid Award, which comes with a €20,000 prize, jointly funded by Unifrance and the MFG Film Fund.
Other awards:
The Franco-German Youth Jury Award, with a €5,000 cash prize sponsored by TV5MONDE, was presented to "13-Tzameti" by Gela Babluani.
The Subtitling Award (for a first film subtitling, financed by the Hamburg company Subs): "13-Tzameti" by Gela Babluani.
The Tübingen Audience Prize (with a €3,500 cash prize donated by the exhibitors Vereinigte Lichtspiele and Arsenal in Tübingen): "7 Years" by Jean-Pascal Hattu.
The Stuttgart Audience Prize (with a €2,500 cash prize donated by the city of Stuttgart: "La vraie vie est ailleurs" by Frédéric Choffat (Switzerland).
The German Critics’ Association Prize: "13 - Tzameti" by Gela Babluani.
