Step by Step wins an award at the Tübingen-Stuttgart French-Language Film Festival
The film by Grand Corps Malade and Mehdi Idir, featuring Pablo Pauly and Soufiane Guerrab, was honored with the Audience Prize at the closing ceremony of this year's Tübingen-Stuttgart International French-Language Film Festival.
Step by Step, co-directed by Grand Corps Malade and Mehdi Idir, has won the Audience Prize at the 34th Tübingen-Stuttgart International French-Language Film Festival.
This Distribution Aid Prize valued at €21,000 was presented on Wednesday, November 8, by UniFrance, the Media and Film Society of Baden-Württemberg (MFG), and the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ), partners of the festival, to Neue Visionen Filmverleih in support of the film's release in Germany, which is scheduled for December 14, 2017.
Prior to its commercial release, Step by Step will be screened as closing film at the Berlin French Film Week on December 5.
The festival's Grand Prize went to Plot 35 by Éric Caravaca, while Semeur by Marine Francen picked up the Best Screenplay Award and Les Petites Mains by Rémi Allier was elected Best Short Film.
