During the 68th Festival de Cannes, our Short Film Department will be organizing three events at the UniFrance Pavilion throughout Thursday, May 21.
The day will kick off with the now traditional networking breakfast, enabling French producers (who are members of Unifrance) to meet up, in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere, with leading international distributors, theater operators and film selectors.
It will be followed by a lunch dedicated to international French language co-productions. In the presence of the CNC and bringing together producers from Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, this meeting is aimed mainly at members in the delicate phase of transitioning from short to feature films.
Last, but not least, at six in the evening, the 13th Prix du Court Metrage (photo: 2014 Cannes edition) ceremony will take place. The Grand Prix (a support grant from UniFrance, Transpalux and Continental Media Assurances) will be awarded to the film selected by the entire jury. Foreign television channels RTI and Canal+ Spain will each acquire their favorite film and the awarded films will participate in the International Festival of Francophone Film in Acadie (FICFA) (Canada), Tübingen | Stuttgart International French-language Film Festival (Germany), Festival Curta Cinema (Brazil), and the Peace & Love Film Festival in Borlänge Darlana (Sweden).
The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail.
