On the occasion of the premiere of The Grocer’s Son in Berlin, the MFG/Unifrance Distribution Aid Award was presented to Arsenal Filmverleih, the film’s German distributor.
The distributor was selected as winner by a jury of industry professionals at the latest Tuebingen-Stuttgart International French-Language Film Festival.
The only award of its kind, the Distribution Aid Award comes with a 20,000 euro cash prize jointly funded by Unifrance and the Media and Film Society Baden-Württemberg (MFG).
The film’s director Eric Guirado was in Berlin to present his film to enthusiastic audiences. The Grocer’s Son is slated for release throughout Germany on April 27, on an ambitious 52-print release.
