Complete filmography
BiographyAfter graduating from the IDHEC, Alain Corneau left for New York in search of the new-born Free Jazz. There should've been a film in it; instead there were articles, interviews, studies and photos. Upon returning to Paris, he began a long period of work as an assistant. Then came the time to direct: ''France Société Anonyme'' (1973); ''Police Python 357'' (1975); ''La Menace'' (1977); ''Série Noire'' (1978); ''Choice of Arms'' (1981); "Fort Saganne" (1983); ''Le Môme'' (1986); ''Indian Nocturne'' (1988); ''Tous les Matins du Monde'' (1991); ''The New World'' (1995). In 1987 he also made a TV film for Médecins des Hommes: ''Afghanistan: Forbidden Country''. ''Le Cousin'' is his eleventh feature.
His new film, “The Prince of the Pacific,” will be released on December 20, 2000. |
