Synopsis
Heureusement l'espérance, two words left by Jean-Loup Bernanos, father of film director Yves Bernanos, on a scrap of paper found a few weeks after his death. How can we keep hope alive and pass it on in a world where it seems to have retreated? This question lies at the heart of the life and work of writer Georges Bernanos, the author's grandfather. Like an intimate yet universal quest, this documentary is embodied in the biographical memories of Jean-Loup Bernanos, who was not only a direct witness but also, in his turn, a transmitter of this hope.
