Synopsis
A small village lost in a desert of dust in a remote area of Burkina Faso. On the outskirts of the village, a train passes twice a week. Water bottles and food items thrown out the train windows by passengers are the villagers' main source of income, and their only source of water, during the dry season. Portraits of the villagers, young and old, reveal an older generation who have experienced a life of servitude to France, and a younger generation who dream of distant horizons.
