Synopsis
1954. While the uprising takes root in the valley, two men, who couldn't be more different, are obliged to escape across the ridges of the Algerian region of the Atlas Mountains. In the middle of a glacial winter, Daru, a reclusive teacher, must escort Mohamed, a farmer accused of killing his cousin, to trial in the city. Tracked by villagers demanding blood law and vengeful French settlers, the two men rebel. Together, they will struggle to rediscover their freedom.
