Synopsis
In a forgotten Yucatán village, 68-year-old Lena, a lonely widow condemned by illness, crosses paths with 62-year-old Leon, a Mayan Indian guardian of the secrets of nature and the spirits. In Leon, Lena finds an unexpected companion. Despite their differences and seemingly opposing worlds, a deep connection forms between them. A philosophical tale about old age, its silent transformations and the bond of love essential to all human life, alive even in the ordeal of death.
