Geneva, 2015. Behind closed doors, words can tip the balance of worlds. In our new interview, creators Jean-Stéphane Bron and Alice Winocour discuss The Deal, the ARTE series that plunges us into the Swiss-hosted nuclear talks between the US, Iran, Europe, Russia and China.

Through Alexandra, a Swiss diplomat played by Veerle Baetens, the show explores loyalty, compromise, and the silent pressure of diplomacy, until a past love (Payam) forces a line to be crossed.
