Algeria, 1959. Military operations intensify. High in the mountains of Kabylia, Terrien, an idealistic lieutenant, takes command of a section of the French army. Among the troops, he meets Sergeant Dougnac, a cynical soldier. Their differences and the harsh reality of warfare quickly put both men to the test. Lost in a war with no name, they discover that they have no worse enemy than themselves.
