Biography

Eric Barbier is a graduate from the IDHEC Film School, Paris. He directed the short films “Shanghai,” “Who is in the Raincoat?,” “La Malédiction de Saint Merri” and “La Face Perdue,” which he also produced. In the late eighties he founded the short film production company “Les Films du Fleuve.” He made his first feature film in 1990, “Le Brasier,” starring Jean-Marc Barr and Maruschka Detmers. Two years later, he directed “Les Années Lycée, un air de liberté,” a TV movie for Arte. “Toreros” is his second feature, starring Olivier Martinez and Claude Brasseur, released in France January 19, 2000.
