Synopsis
At the beginning of 2012, Northern Mali was occupied by a coalition of armed separatist and jihadist groups who proclaimed the splitting of the country and imposed Sharia law.
In Gao, the historic and economic capital of the north, a resistance movement took shape, consisting of young people who undertook to protect their families and to free the city from these new occupiers.
