Synopsis
Daily life in a third-class carriage of the Trans-Siberian Express, called Vostok n° 20. Between the lack of comfort, shared meals, boredom, and secrets shared between strangers, people make time go by as best they can. In a breath of wind, the poems by Marina Tsvetaeva, read by Fanny Ardant, clarify the passengers' feelings: their loneliness, their desire for freedom and love. In this convoy as ordinary as it is mythical, the writer's Russia merges with that of the passengers.

Tender Age, by Julien Gaspar-Oliveri
Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager. At high school, she would like to be loved like she is at home and expresses it in an awkward way like when she exchanges a favor for a look, in the toilets. A loudmouth, provocative, and seeking attention, Diane tries to stand apart from her mother and wishes, during a weekend, to live like an adult.
