Synopsis
In August 2008, the WHO published an investigation revealing that the difference of life expectancy between a child born in a rich neighbourhood of Glasgow and another born in a poor neighbourhood of the same city, is twenty-eight years. This report should have provoked a social earthquake. It only gave rise to a weary sigh and a smattering of good philanthropica intentions. How do you explain twenty-eight years of difference in life expectancy between the inhabitants of the same city?
