Synopsis
Each summer, many people transit by sea between France and Algeria, Marseilles and Alger. Cars packed to the roof, every kind of packet, men laden down with bags and stories.
At sea, we are no longer in France and not yet in Algeria, and vice versa. In this between-two world - between two shores, between two countries, between two senses of belonging - and so words sometimes flow. From the boat's singular enclosure, in the interlude of the journey's to and fro, the crossing takes center place for these rattled about men and women.
