When a famous English ghostwriter accepts to finish the memoirs of the former Prime Minister Adam Lang, the ghostwriter's agent assures him that it is the chance of a lifetime. But the project seems to be marked by fate from the outset: the ghostwriter learns that his predecessor, Adam Lang's loyal right-hand man, died in a mysterious accident.
