60th Berlin International Film Festival: the coronation of Polanski

Roman Polanski was crowned Best Director at the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival, winning him the Silver Bear for The Ghost Writer.

This award adds to this renowned director's previous awards at Berlin, after Cul-de-sac's Golden Bear win in 1966 and Repulsion's Special Jury Prize in 1965. The 2010 Silver Bear was considered a well-deserved honor by the international media present at Berlin.

Une vie toute neuve by Ounie Lecomte was also honored with a Special Mention from the Generation KPLUS Jury.

Unifrance provided travel assistance for some twenty French artists attending the festival, including Isabelle Adjani, Gérard Depardieu, Anne Brochet, Raoul Peck, Sylvain Chomet, and Bruno Todeschini.
