An unexpected phone call from a certain Kirsch sets off a crisis between Catherine and Raphaël that will affect all those around them, be they close friends or casual acquaintances. Thrown off balance, the characters let their masks drop and to recover, they are obliged to assume roles that reveal the malaise of today’s society. Power plays, keeping up appearances, conformist behavior, catchphrases that replace real thought… Contemporary behavior is put to the test over a three-day crisis that upsets a cosy little Parisian set who, apparently confident socially, are fragile and lost when it comes to their personal lives. Only the enigmatic Kirsch, the root of the trouble and detonator of the crisis, seems to know who he truly is, even if, of all of the characters, he seems the most sensitive and fragile. Treated in a humorous way, the film attempts to look at our daily lives, behavior, language and codes through characters similar to us, familiar and fraternal, who discover and illustrate the madness at work in social interaction.
