Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) is now recognized as a premier showcase of international cinema by film professionals from around the world. In 2006, PIFF launched Asian Film Market to promote every aspects of film business to become a global hub of Asian cinema and world film industry.
With the successful settlement of the Asian Film Academy (AFA) and the initiation of Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) of 2007 proved again that PIFF is the center of the development of Asian cinema.
PIFF present around 270 films, of which one third are either world premiere or international premiere. The number of film professionals attending the festival and the market each year is up to 7000, which excludes the press of 1700.
