Synopsis
1859. Alexina, a trainee teacher in the convent for young girls where she grew up, suffers from unbearable pain. After examining her, the diocese's doctor reveals that she's a hermaphrodite. According to him, because masculinity always dominates, Alexina is a man. She has no other choice than to leave the school as quickly as possible, leaving behind Henriette, her closest and dear friend.
