No Rest for the Brave

No Rest for the Brave

A Feature film by Alain Guiraudie

Produced by Paulo Films

Release in France : 12/11/2003

First up, there’s Basile Matin, a young man who has a dream about Fafatao-Laoupo, the symbol of the penultimate sleep. Now Basile knows that if he goes to sleep again he’ll die. The problem is, people his age believe that all life lies ahead of them.
Then there is Igor, another young man who works little and studies even less. But he has no money and is bored. Which means that Basile’s story – even though he doesn’t quite understand it – interests him intensely.
Finally, there’s Johnny Got. A little bit of a volunteer journalist, a little bit of a detective and quite a bit of a rogue, he’s very keen about stories that are none of his business. He’s fascinated by Basile’s story, so fascinated, in fact, that he’ll go looking for him.
