Land and Shade
Synopsis
Alfonso is an elderly farmer who returns to his homeland after many years absence to be by his dying son's bedside. When he arrives, he discovers an apocalyptic landscape: his home is surrounded by vast sugar cane plantations and a rain of ash related to sugar cane production constantly falls on the house, worsening his son's illness. Seventeen years after abandoning his relatives, Alfonso will attempt to find his place once again and to save his family.
