Founding partner of the Persona Films company, Gilles Bourdos directed and produced three short films, "Un cadeau à Noël"(1987), "L’Eternelle idole"(1990) and "Relache" (1992). He participated in writing films for Michel Spinosa, including "Emmène-moi" in 1995, before it was his turn to direct his first feature film "Disparus," written in collaboration with Brigitte Catillon and Michel Spinosa. The film was shown in the Directors' Fortnight at the 1999 Cannes International Film Festival.
