MyFrenchFilmFestival has produced educational kits in French for a number of films included in this year's selection.
WIth support from the French Institute and the CAVILAM Language School-Alliance Française, uniFrance Films is providing educational kits in French on the following films: The Disintegration by Philippe Faucon, The Pirogue by Moussa Touré, A World Without Women by Guillaume Brac, and The Shady Sailor by Sophie Letourneur.
Prepared by Charlotte Garson, film critic at Les Cahiers du Cinéma, these kits are aimed at teachers from the Alliance Française network and French high schools, and are freely accessible to all web users on the MyFrenchFilmFestival website.
The activity sheets in these kits were put together by teachers of French as a foreign language at the CAVILAM-Alliance Française. They encourage teachers to introduce the subject of French cinema into their French classes.
These teaching aids, which combine cultural and linguistic resources, are intended to both stimulate French language learning in a fun and entertaining way and offer an introduction to film studies.

Cavilam is an applied research center which was founded in 1964 and joined the Alliance Française network in 2012. It specializes in the creation of educational resources that closely associate French language learning with an introduction to cultural content. It is involved in many innovative projects, notably in collaboration with the French Institute, TV5MONDE, the radio station RFI, the French Music Export Office, the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the International Francophone Organization.
Charlotte Garson has worked as film critic at Les Cahiers du Cinéma magazine and Etudes magazine since 2001, as well as program director at the Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes since 2010. She is a film critic on the France Culture radio station (for the program La Dispute) and collaborates on teacher training programs for the "Lycéens au Cinéma" ("High School Students at the Cinema") scheme. It is from this perspective that she prepared teaching guides for the CNC for the films Some Like It Hot, Adieu Philippine, and Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.
