The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs has made the promotion of French films one of the key priorities of France's foreign cultural policy. More generally, the audiovisual sector is of particular importance, both in terms of cultural diplomacy and economic diplomacy due to the many issues and challenges associated with this sector. It is for this reason that the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs provides financial support to UniFrance films and assists the association's initiatives abroad by mobilizing its networks of cultural connections and international cooperation, in particular through its audiovisual attachés, who are present in around one hundred countries around the world. The combined efforts made by government authorities and professional networks thus provide a guarantee for the enhanced presence of French images and values on the airwaves, screens, and media channels throughout the world.
