Visions du Réel, the world's leading documentary festival, will once again be showcasing French documentary creation, with 27 French productions and co-productions in the selection, including 18 world premieres.
On this occasion, Unifrance will be deploying a number of support schemes for films and professionals, firstly through travel grants for filmmakers in partnership with La Scam (Société Civile des Auteurs Multimédia), to encourage the promotion of films internationally.
In addition, a Unifrance Doc Award will be presented by a jury of professionals, in partnership with TitraFilm, to one of the five French projects in development, presented as part of the Visions du Réel co-production forum:
- Dreams of the Wild Oaks by Marjan Khosravi
- GEN_ by Gianluca Matarrese
- Magnetic Letters by Demie Dangla
- The House of Shadows by Amine Hattou
- The Last Days of the Hospital by Mehran Tamadon
On 15 April, Unifrance will also organize a French Docs Drink Ambassade de France in Switzerland to celebrate the French presence at Visions du Réel and provide an opportunity for networking between French and foreign professionals.
