After being initially released in only 3 theaters, the film's distributor IFC significantly upped the number of prints in circulation to reach 69 screens by the end of April, with 74,000 admissions registered in three weeks. An animated film that has been eagerly anticipated in 2015, Why I Did (Not) Eat My Father (3D) registered 67,000 admissions in 4 weeks in Belgium and posted a more than satisfactory average number of spectators per print. Released late April in Turkey, a country where audiences traditionally show a strong interest in French animated pictures, this film by Jamel Debbouze clocked up 45,000 admissions in its opening week.
Serial (Bad) Weddings topped 9 million admissions abroad in April. This film continues its international run in Latin America, where it registered 200,000 spectators in Mexico at the end of April.
