Synopsis
Melilla, a Spanish enclave in Morocco, is a land border between the African continent and Europe. Transiting through the city, Malik and his friends, miners of Moroccan origin, attempt to reach Europe by any means necessary. Day after night, they roam the city in all directions, exploring the city’s most scorching past and present, taking every risk to cross barriers and climb onto boats. Stay there, as if dead before being born? Better to “burn the sea” than die before having lived.
