Synopsis
What does an executioner think about when he comes home after a hard day's work?
Inspired by Carl Sandburg's famous poem, "The Hangman at Home" (1922), this immersive virtual reality experience for a user explores the themes of participation and awareness of self and others. This story is not about executions, but rather about the strange intimacy shared by all humanity, and the bonds between spectator, witness, and accomplice. The interactive animated experience invites you into five intertwined stories, capturing key moments in the lives of the characters. The Hangman at Home –VR (Le Bourreau chez lui - RV) eventually reveals that our commonalities far outweigh our differences, while raising the question of everyone's responsibility.
