Synopsis
An abandoned area always comes back to life after any event in human history. Venice and its islands are an example of a vast stretch of water and half-submerged lands where the landscapes of silence change with the ebb and flow of the tides. The traditional boats of the laguna resist the noisy aggressivity of motors, the water's colours, the sky and earth merge with the red brick of human edifices and the salt marshes offer hospitality to typical local fauna. In the film, the man-nature relationship is represented by a succession of choreographies in which nature reacts and claims back its place in a site left empty by civilization.
