Synopsis
From Isfahan to Sidi Bouzid, via Jerusalem, Cordoba, and Dubai, this film takes us on a journey into the world of Islam—Islam with a capital "I", which Abdelwahab Meddeb strove to make accessible to people. The director continues on the trail blazed by the late Franco-Tunisian poet and intellectual for whom "one way to fight fundamentalism is to recognize Islam's complexity and its contribution to universal culture." A journey between past and present, history and politics, music and poetry.
