Synopsis
This documentary investigates the universe of Lucha Libre, in Mexico, from the central square of Mexico City where a boxing ring rose outdoors for a few days, until the impressive Arena Mexico, by way of various training lockers and the modest Arena Coacalco in the suburb of the megalopolis.
Between the lines of the trainings, fights and diverse testimonies, we discover the origins, the technical and cultural specificities, the personal and commercial stakes in Lucha Libre. We also focus on the very strong relation of Luchadores with the public: supporters masked on the terraces, hands stretched out on the road to the cloakrooms, dedications, photos and pressing embraces at the exit of the show.
