Confronted by the growing merchandization of human activity, citizens are starting to react. Artists, teachers, researchers and intellectuals fight against the reshaping of social systems imagined by the MEDEF (a French umbrella organization for employers‚ interest groups) and applied by liberal governments. During a year of debates and initiatives, they try to develop awareness on a collective scale, by recalling our society’s founding charters which once gave birth to the Declaration of Human Rights.
The film aims to provide some understanding to this shift in society through those involved in the struggle and by questioning the alternatives that social action groups propose.
