Adrien, former expert break-in artist, has just been released from prison. A fatal disease gnaws away at his body and he only has a few months to live. Werner, former legionnaire, now mercenary and sniper, trails his suicidal madness around the world’s major conflicts.
The story begins when the enigmatic Radman offers them a job of perpetrating a fake terrorist attack in Bucharest. Adrien and Werner both see it as a chance to resolve all their respective problems. With the money he’ll earn, Adrien will be able to keep the wolf from his family’s door; Werner will at last experience his ultimate death-seeking thrill.
Both men accept the contract: to die during the operation. Even though they don’t have a lot in common, the ex-burglar and mercenary get ready to share their last remaining hours and their death. The day of the mission, nothing goes as planned. Adrien and Werner realize that they’ve been fooled. Alone, isolated, accused of murders that they haven’t committed, they’re trapped. Brought together by circumstance, they’ll join in a high-risk treasure hunt. They’ll try to find Radman, protect their own kin and, contrary to what they’d planned, to stay alive…
