Synopsis
Ali is a young Egyptian screenwriter who’s determined to make it in London. But the gulf between his dreams and real life seems insurmountable. Ali has no money, has been chucked out of his apartment and his visa is about to expire. From sublets to shared apartments, Ali encounters a series of eccentric roommates and a host of colorful locals. Between Ahmed, his friend who advises him to get married – visa in mind – as soon as possible, Vivienne, his mistress, Mark, a photographer of inimitable style, and Linda, a cute model posing as Marilyn, Ali discovers the true side of London life. By losing some of his prejudices, will he find what he’s looking for: true love… and a visa?
