Baya Kasmi begins by scripting series for the television, notably collaborating with Michel Leclerc. In 2008, she pens the television film Those Who Love France, directed by Ariane Ascaride. In 2011, she wins the César for Best Script for The Names of Love. It's with another story, in part similar, that she directs her first short, I Could've Been a Hooker.
