No mom, no dad, he nevertheless manages to leave the orphanage behind and study architecture. But just when he is about to sit his exams, he gets mumps and must stay at home. Since then, he has been drifting from casual job to casual job. Even his girlfriend Carmen is cheating on him with his best friend! This unlucky guy then discovers on the boarding of a building site a photo of a project that he’d developed during his many years of architectural studies. His heart skips a beat: someone has stolen his idea! The thief can be no other than the horrible Vincent Porel, the king of building and engineering works who is overseeing the building’s construction. Simon goes to Porel’s head office to claim his due, but is thrown out before being knocked down by a car driven by Porel himself. Simon dies… and comes back to life. But he truly is an unlucky guy, for he is reincarnated as Porel’s baby. What Porel can’t understand is why his beloved baby feels such boundless hatred for him. Simon, now Porel Junior, is thoroughly determined to get even by becoming a very difficult child. Festival selections |
