MIFED 2003
70th time around! MIFED (Marché international du cinéma et de l'audiovisuel) opens its doors November 9 through 13, 2003.
The international film and television market this year boasts 240 exhibitors and 1,800 buyers, among whom there will be no less than 23 French sales agencies. 14 of these will be present at the Unifrance stand (Celluloïd Dreams, Europacorp, Films Distribution, Les Films du Losange, Flach Pyramide International, FTD, Gemini Films, Mercure International, MK2, Onoma, Roissy Films, The Coproduction Office, Vision International and Wide Management), and nine others are also expected at the event (Eurociné, F for Film, Gaumont, M6 DA, Pathé International, StudioCanal, TF1 International, UGC International and Wild Bunch).
The French contingent offers a palette as rich as it diverse, with a collection of around 180 titles (screenings and line-ups), including some 20 films screened for the first time at an international event. This is the case for "France Boutique," "Le Coût de la vie," "Je reste!," "La Prophétie des grenouilles," "Nathalie... ," "Bienvenue au gîte," "Cette femme-là," "Mauvais Esprit," "Errance" and "Janis et John," among others.
In the new line-ups, we also find "L’ Empire des loups" by Chris Nahon, starring Jean Réno and Olivier Martinez (Gaumont, in pre-production); the latest film by Etienne Chatiliez, "La confiance règne," with Cécile de France and Vincent Lindon in the lead roles (TF1 International) as well as "Man to Man" by Régis Wargnier (Wild Bunch).
