French cinema takes center stage in Saragossa

The 6th Saragossa Cinefrancia French Film Festival, organized by the Municipality of Saragossa, took place from November 10 through 18, 2006.

Among the 80 feature films, short films and documentaries showcased at the event, 12 titles competed in the Panorama Section for the Angel Critics’ Award:

"La Californie"
"Je vais bien ne t'en fais pas"
"Fauteuils d'orchestre" ("Avenue Montaigne")
"Indigènes"("Days of Glory")
"13 - Tzameti"
"L'Ivresse du pouvoir" ("The Comedy of Power")
"Les Brigades du Tigre" (“Tiger Brigades”)
"Les Anges exterminateurs"
"Le Passager" (“The Passenger”)
"Dans Paris" (“Inside Paris”)

The audience Prize was presented to "Indigènes" and the Critics’ Award went to "Transylvania."

The festival also honored Robert Guédiguian, presenting the French director with an Honorary Angel and screening eight of his films at the event.
