The official selection for the 56th Cannes International Film Festival was unveiled Wednesday, April 23. This year 20 films, including 5 French productions, are in the running for the Palme d’Or.

On May 14, it will be "Fanfan la Tulipe" by Gérard Krawczyk that will open this 56th Cannes Festival (out of competition).
