Belleville Rendez-vous
Synopsis
Madame de Souza is worried about her young nephew, Champion. Nothing interests him and he’s bored to death. One day, she discovers a pile of photos of the Tour de France and various cycling champions that he’s been hiding. She then buys him a bike and gets him training to be the future winner of the cycling race. It's a bad move, for her nephew becomes the prey of the French mafia. They kidnap him and put him to work in illegal casinos where virtual races are run for high stakes. Madame de Souza hits the road, searching for her nephew, hoping to free him from the bad guys’ clutches. This burlesque thriller takes us on Madame de Souza’s hair-raising search for her nephew through Paris’ Belleville neighborhood and an imaginary North American city. Laughter and tears are guaranteed.
