The 65th edition of DOK Leipzig, the German festival dedicated to both documentary and animation, was held from October 17 through 23. This year, 25 French productions and coproductions, shorts and features, including nine animated films, 12 documentaries, and three augmented reality works have been presented.
DOK Industry, which takes place in parallel with the festival, offers each year more than 50 coproduction and networking events to more than 1600 professionals from all over the world. This year, Unifrance presented a Unifrance Doc Award, in partnership with TitraFilm, to the project "Under the Dance Floor" by Sara Timar (photo), pitched at the DOK Co-Pro Market coproduction market and selected by the jury. It will gain subtitling assistance and a one-year Unifrance membership for the producer.
Unifrance accompanied the French films in the Dok Leipzig selection through its funding system designed to support documentaries and French professionals in foreign festivals and markets.
